Pity Party

Have you ever taught, Why has God forgotten me? Or Will my time come, Lord? let truth be told, we all at one point or another were at this place in life. Some of us are at this point in our lives right know. You feel as if your back is against the wall and your looking for someone to tear you from that wall and no one is there for you...... Are you understanding what I'm talking about?

No matter how loud you scream or how hard you fight, you feel as if no one understands you.The funny thing is someone does understands you, someone cares for you and on top of it, someone is looking out for your well being. Someone cares for you, because Someone knew how you would be feeling this very hour simply because Someone formed you, Someone created you, Someone had you on Their mind because someone loves you. The name of this Someone is Jesus Christ, He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

I was the Queen of pity parties, until I realized I'm only hurting myself and no good will come from this type of attitude, except negativity and hurt. With that being said, you can say I WOKE UP.

"26. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28. And why take ye thought for raiment? consider the lilies of the fields, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. 29. And yet i say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30. Wherefore, If God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? St. Matthew 6 vs 26-30

There's so many scriptures that emphasizes the love and cares God has for us. For some reason, this scripture stood out to me the most (when I was going through my own hurdle). I understood the love God has for us and how He does care for each and everyone of us. We don't have to worry because Our Father has us or should I say "He got our back."

The next time you think of having a pity party, meditate on St. Matthew 6 vs 26-30 or find scriptures that are associated with how your feeling to meditate on. Think of someone who you might be a blessing to, give them a call or take them out for coffee. Volunteer a few hours of your time to a shelter or soup kitchen. You might be surprise just how giving back may uplift your spirit and you might start to see things in a new light.

"Before I formed thee in the belly I know thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nation". Jeremiah 1:5 This scripture verse should speak volume to us all. Even though God was speaking to Jeremiah, it was and is meant for us.

This verse is showing us that our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ has our lives mapped out and planned for us. It's up to us as man and woman to take our stand for the Lord and allow him to shape this plan into being. The troubles that we face at times (sad to say) we are the ones that put ourselves in the situation we are in and expect to be saved without a consequence.

I came to realize that God is faithful and just to forgive us if we humble ourselves before Him and ask for Him to take full control of our lives."If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

Think of it, Our heavenly father did not create us to be unhappy, unhealthy, spiritually bound and on top of it all, to be troubled of what this world offer to us. Remember what the Lord said " For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome." Jeremiah 29:11

His plans are perfect for our lives, Our Lord almighty wants what is best for us and for others around us.  Do you not think, He grieves with what's going on in this world? Do you not think, He cares how our days or weeks are going?

God didn't create the mess we are in or how we are feeling. Sin created all of this, not taking heed to the word of God and allow our selfish desires to over take us.

In conclusion, 5.Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct they paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.
