Why are your God given talents in a bottle

 

One of the main reason our talents are locked up and not shown to the world is because of  F.E.A.R yes I said it. Fear will and can keep you bound. We need to remember our gifts are not for our self. "Our gifts is for the building of the Kingdom of God and for us to keep hold on this gift then It's a sin.

The persons that I can reach with my gifts, you can not reach. The individuals that you can reach, I can not reach. So we all have something to offer to others.


Scriptures for your encouragement.

1. Tell everyone who is discouraged, be strong and don't be                                                               afraid! God is coming to your rescue. Isaiah 35:4

 

2. “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.  Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  Since you cannot do this very little thing,   why do you worry about the rest?”    Luke 12:22-26          

 

3. “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

 

4.“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:39-40

Down to six months.........Just Start.

As the long weekend comes to an end are we conscious, half the year has already been completed. At the start of the year I'm almost sure all of us made commitments to:-

1. God first, allow Him to be the
      anchor In your life.

2. Mediate on His word daily (study  plan www.biblica.com).

3. Be the light in this dark world.

4. Fill your heart with thankfulnees
     on a regular basis.

5. Walk as kings and Queens. You
      were born to roar.

6. Be more active in church/
     Community.

Seems like yesterday plans and dreams were put into place in lives. Yet, as time goes by plans/dreams are placed on the back burner.

If your seeking for the remainder of the year, seek God. If your seeking to be fullfulled, be brave and step out of your comfort zone and help others around you. If your seeking more Fun/activities in your lives why not find like minded christian and organize a few events.

Its never too late to start......Just Start.

We Rise by Lifting Others

   
     In a society which portray me, myself and I, it can get overwhelming to direct our attention to someone who's in need of  spiritual or non-spiritual help.

     Let's face it, selfishness is on the rise due to what we see is being portrayed. If you scrach my back then I'll do the same for you. Is this the mandate we should live by?

     And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such Scarifices God is please. Hebrews 13:16

     On word in the passage above makes people uncomfortable and that's Scarifice. Why? this is  a question we should ask ourself and keep asking untill we get an answer.

     We are so comfortable in our own little world. At times consumption takes us in these comfort zone that we don't even notice.

     God is pleased when we give of ourself. God is pleased when we seek to please Him. If you start to look after God business don't you think He will look after you?

     Let us rise to the occasion of helping to lift a sister/brother wheather in the sanctuary or out. Church is in us and we don't have to wait on a Sunday morning to give a helping hand or a listening ears. You and I were created to shine and as God is my witness I'm going to shine. Let us all shine for his glory by doing our part in this puzzle we call life.

Go After Peace!

What causes us to lose our peace? Lots of things, running late, traffic jams, spilled coffee,  That's why it's so important to 'exercise' walking in peace every day. For example, you have to decide when to close your mouth and not be easily offended. And you have to be OK with being wrong sometimes.

You can't just sit back and wish for peace, wish the devil would leave you alone, or wish that people would do what you want. The Bible tells us to actively pursue peace. You have to make up your mind to crave peace.

For God's Word to bear fruit in our lives, it must be sown in a peaceful heart of someone who works for and makes peace. All believers have a responsibility to maintain a spirit of peace so God can spread His Word in and through them.

Are you looking for a breakthrough in your life but no matter how hard you try, it's not coming? It's more than likely because you are not living in peace. So I urge you, crave peace, seek after it, and go for it with all your might!

Prayer Starter: Lord, I can't just sit back any longer, waiting for peace to materialize. I want to actively pursue it. Show me the way as I go after Your peace. In Jesus Name. *Joyce Meyer *

Thankful

Being thankful in life is what God expect from us as Christians, 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We should be set apart from this world, Rom 12:2. The world definition of thankful is having a decent bank account and having wants and needs taken care of.

Having a Thankful heart is the opposite of what the world expects. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Lord let your will be done in all that I do, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in all aspect of your life. He will do it because you have given him the freedom to move in your life and when the Holy Spirit moves in your life HE takes you places you taught you could only dream off.

Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Philippians 4:6 Why? why worry about anything in this life when our God almighty is saying to lean on Him and to put our trust in Him. He has given us all the tools to be worry free so we can live a thankful life.

In the middle of this year, I made an effort to be thankful in every situation because in every situation there’s something to learn. Know at the end of the year, I can honestly say I am thankful for every disappointment and for every victory. Through it all giving God thanks was the number one priority and I have learned to trust Him more know than every.

Start know by being Thankful for all season of your life.

Forgiveness is it for us or for the person that offended us? Forgiveness is for both. The bible say In Matthew 6:12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. What this verse is saying  is father I will forgive those that hurt me because you have forgiven me of my sin.

How simply is that but how hard is it for some of us?

The big picture is we need to let it go, I know its hard and unfair. Release it from your heart and allow God to heal you and He will take care of it for you. He will fight your battles. Your only, priority at that moment is to heal and the only person that can truly heal you is God Almighty.

It won't be easy, nothing is easy in this life. they have an old saying you have to crawl before you walk. make up in you mine that you want to forgive and in baby steps release the angry and bitterness that's in you. Your the one that's carrying this stress of unforgiveness and for what.

“Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ And they divided up his clothes by casting lots” (Luke 23:34).

The day He died for our sin. He paid it all, he went to the slaughter house for us. Our sin and wrath were forgiven. It was separated from us as far as the east is from the west, it was no more.

Decide within yourself to forgive and love, let go of contention and stress. Release yourself from negativity and abnormality because that's what all of this is. Your body was not created to carry all of this baggage.

Great is Thy faithfulness

 Great is thy faithfulness

What a beautiful Song...................Great is thy faithfulness.

Are you great full for every situation that comes your way? Are you angry if you were over looked for that promotion? Your friend is finally getting married? Your car broke down? Life throw a curve ball at you?

How do you look at life this very minute? These are question's we should be asking ourselves daily. Do you know why? even though we have hardship every day or every minute, God is still faithful. We need to be thankful for coming this far.  Remember, road block will try to over throw us; as children of our heavenly father He promise to never give us more than we can bear.

There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Trouble will come, mountains will seem as if its going to over take us. God is awesome in all of His ways, His mercy underneath forever. There's such treasures in His words,  mediate on His words daily and in time the trouble will seem so small, you will

wonder why was I so worried.

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you.  Deuteronomy 31:6


Great is thy faithfulness morning by morning new mercy I see.  What beautiful words for our soul. His faithfulness is from ever lasting to ever lasting.

Let us all rest in his faithfulness and not grow weary.
